          Dream Your Dreams

          Kaylee Zou

          Always chase your dreams,

          Someday you’ll catch them,

          Always keep the determination,

That will make dreams come true,

          But most importantly,

          Always dream your dreams,

          Forever.

          Explanation

          That One Clump:

The moral behind this poem is that no matter how difficult an ordeal may seem at first, with courage and determination you will always be able to succeed. Whereas, if you just give up, failure will be the only outcome. As long as you put an effort, a trial will become a success.

          The Rainbow:

This piece shows how something as common as a simple rainbow can create such significance in the world. For instance, the rainbow in this poem only lasted for a few minutes, but its beauty that has been brought to the world will never be forgotten. It relates to how small actions can make a big difference and it is the little things that create the large.

          Fireflies

          On a warm, summer night,

          Little sparks of light,

           Shine with pride,

          Like another set of stars,

That flitter with a slow rhythm,

          And flicker on and off,

          To a steady beat,

          If you look closely,

          You can see,

          That obviously,

They are waltzing to the moon.

          “BOOM!” “BAM!” The fireworks roar,

At the silence they strongly tore,

In the night sky they freely soar,

And at the air there goes more.

Fireworks shoot with a speedy flight,

Then way up high they explode with might,

          Giving off the exquisite lights,

Those make the scene an amazing sight.

          Fog

After a day of rain shed,

Layers of mist clog the air,

          Mischievously plotted as a prank,

          For a few moments,

To relieve the beauty of the world,

          From the prying eyes,

          And horrid waste,

           And destruction,

Fog is a warning to all,

          That our wildlife is danger,

From the most frightening of all creatures,

          Humans.
